Art

In our classroom, we focus on the Elements of Art - color, line, shape, value, space, texture, and form.  The students use a variety of materials and techniques to complete their projects.  Our goal is to explore new ideas and develop new skills.  All our art is stored in a portfolio that will come home at the end of the year. The Brandywine School District’s art classrooms use the Delaware Standards for Visual and Performing Arts to create our lesson plans.  

We are always looking for unique materials to create our masterpieces, including recyclables, paper bags, egg cartons, corks, baby food containers, empty toilet paper/paper towel holders, fabrics, yarn, string, and twine.
